Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 2, 2026

Grace Aware ("we," "us") runs GraceAware.com. This page explains, in plain words, what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to deliver your books and emails and to run the site well. We never sell your personal information.

What we collect

  • When you buy a book: your name, email address, billing details, and order history. Payment is handled by PayPal; we never see or store your full card or bank details.
  • When you create an account: your name, email, username, and password (stored encrypted), plus your orders, downloads, and any course progress.
  • When you join our email list: your email address (and name if you give it), when you signed up and confirmed, and whether you open or click our emails.
  • When you leave a comment or contact us: your name, email, what you wrote, and basic technical details used to filter spam.
  • Automatically when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, how you arrived at the site, and similar usage information, collected through cookies and similar tools (see "Cookies" below).

How we use it

  • To process orders, deliver your EPUB and PDF downloads, and handle refunds.
  • To run your account and any courses you take.
  • To send the free giveaway and emails you asked for (you can unsubscribe at any time).
  • To answer your questions and messages.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it.
  • To measure and improve our ads, including showing Grace Aware ads to people who may be interested.
  • To keep the site secure, block spam, and meet legal and tax requirements.

Who we share it with

We share information only with services that help us run Grace Aware, and only as needed:

  • PayPal – to take payments and issue refunds.
  • MailerLite – to send our emails.
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) – the Meta Pixel and Conversions API tell Meta about site visits and purchases so we can measure and target our ads.
  • Google – Google Analytics and Search Console help us see how people find and use the site.
  • Automattic (Jetpack and Akismet) – site security, statistics, and comment spam filtering.
  • GoDaddy – hosts the website.
  • Backup storage – UpdraftPlus stores site backups, which include site data. Backups are kept on our hosting server and may also be copied to a secure cloud storage service.

We may also share information if the law requires it or to protect our rights or the safety of others. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use these kinds:

  • Essential cookies – keep your cart, login, and checkout working.
  • Preference cookies – remember choices like staying signed in.
  • Analytics cookies – Google Analytics and Jetpack Stats show us how the site is used.
  • Advertising cookies – the Meta Pixel helps measure and target our ads.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, like the cart and checkout, need essential cookies to work. You can also adjust ad settings in your Facebook and Google accounts.

Your email choices

We use double opt-in: you'll get a confirmation email before we add you to our list. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes. We keep them for 7 years. Email list details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Account details are kept until you close your account.

Keeping it safe

The site uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, and we use reputable services to protect your information. No system is perfect, but we work to keep your information safe.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email dave@graceaware.com and we'll reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.

  • EU and UK visitors: You also have rights under the GDPR, including to object to or limit how we use your information, to take a copy of it with you, and to withdraw consent at any time. We rely on your consent (email list, analytics, and ad cookies), on what's needed to fulfil your order, and on our legitimate interest in running the site. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
  • California residents: You have the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted or corrected, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. We do not sell your information. Sharing data with Meta for ads may count as "sharing" under California law; to opt out, email us or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

Children

GraceAware.com is not aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the effective date at the top.
